Headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana, Gallo Mechanical is one of the largest MEP contractors in the Gulf Coast.

Founded in 1945 by brothers August R. Gallo Sr., a former insurance agent, and Louis V. Gallo, the firm began as a local residential plumbing company operated out of Louis’ home. By the 1960s Gallo was operating as a commercial plumbing company and by 1967 was a fully mechanical contracting company.

Today Gallo works on some of the largest building projects across the Gulf South in:

• Maintenance

BuildingPoint Gulf Coast has partnered with Gallo since 2016  and the firm currently uses our Trimble 773 Robotic Total Station for digital layout workflows and the TX8 to achieve highly accurate as-builts and quality assurance reports. Our professional services team has also worked on several BIM coordination and 3D modeling projects with Gallo.

We recently spent a day with Gallo’s digital layout and scanning team on two sites in New Orleans — an addition at Delgado Community College and a massive new kitchen project at the Superdome. The photos below are from that day.
